Login to salik.ae — step-by-step
- Go to salik.ae.
- Click Login at the top-right.
- Choose Customer Account or UAE Pass.
- Customer Account: enter Salik account number (10 digits) + password.
- UAE Pass: scan QR with UAE Pass app, approve.
- You land on the dashboard: balance, recent crossings, recharge button.
If you get an 'invalid credentials' error 3 times in a row, the account locks for 30 minutes. See the Locked account section below.
Forgot Salik password — recovery in 2 minutes
- On salik.ae login screen → Forgot Password.
- Enter your Salik account number + registered mobile.
- An OTP arrives by SMS. Enter it.
- Set a new password (min 8 chars, 1 uppercase, 1 number).
- Login with the new password.
If your registered mobile is no longer active: you'll need to update it first. Visit any RTA Customer Happiness Centre or call 800 SALIK with Emirates ID.
Forgot account number too? It's the 10-digit number on the back of your Salik tag, or in any old Salik SMS receipt. Or call 800 SALIK to retrieve it via Emirates ID.
Locked Salik account — how to unlock
The account locks after 3 failed login attempts. Two ways to unlock:
- Wait 30 minutes — automatic unlock, then login normally.
- Don't want to wait? Use the Forgot Password flow above. Resetting the password also unlocks the account.
If the account is locked for 'security reasons' (3+ days, multiple wrong attempts from different IPs), you'll need to call 800 SALIK (800 72545) with your Emirates ID number. The agent verifies identity and unlocks within 5 minutes.
UAE Pass login — the fastest method
UAE Pass is the federal digital identity. Once you've set it up (5 min, Emirates ID + face scan), you use it to login to any government service in the UAE — Salik, RTA, ICA, MOHRE, DEWA, ADCB, etc. — with a single tap.
