Dubai Accident Report — Step by Step

1. Stop safely — turn on hazards. If injured: call 999.
2. Don't move vehicles if there's injury or major damage. For minor accidents, move to the side to avoid blocking traffic.
3. Photograph the scene: vehicles, damage, plates, surroundings, road signs.
4. Exchange info: name, license, plate, insurance details with the other driver.
5. File a report: Dubai Police app → Traffic Accident → submit photos & details.
6. Wait for the digital accident report (issued in minutes for minor cases) — needed for insurance and repair.

• Green report — you are not at fault. Take this to your insurance.
• Red report — you are at fault. Insurance covers third-party damages; comprehensive insurance also covers your own damage.
• Yellow / White report — fault is unclear or shared. May go to court.

Without a police report, repair shops and insurance companies won't process the claim.

1. Send the green/red/yellow report and photos to your insurer.
2. Insurer will direct you to an approved garage (cheaper) or pay you cash to fix anywhere.
3. Pay the deductible (typically AED 500–1,500 for comprehensive policies).
4. Vehicle is repaired and inspected before release.
5. If the car is a total loss, the insurer pays market value minus depreciation.
