The hot sectors

The UAE labour market posted ~6.5% YoY job growth through Q4 2025 (Ministry of Human Resources data). Five sectors are pulling hardest:

  1. AI / data / cybersecurity — Dubai's Internet City and Abu Dhabi's Hub71 are hiring data engineers, ML engineers, and cyber analysts. Salaries: AED 20-45k/month.
  2. Green energy & sustainability — Masdar, ADNOC's renewables arm, and Emirates Global Aluminium expanding ESG/clean-tech teams. AED 18-38k.
  3. Tourism, hospitality & F&B — record visitor numbers post-2025 are driving hiring in hotels, attractions, and restaurants. AED 6-25k depending on role.
  4. Healthcare — DHA and DoH (Abu Dhabi) consistently flag nurse, allied health, and specialist shortages. AED 14-50k for clinical roles.
  5. Financial services — DIFC and ADGM continue expansion; demand for compliance, risk, and crypto/digital-asset specialists is high. AED 22-60k.

  • Golden Visa (5-10 yrs) — investor (AED 2M+), top-1% professional (income proof), and Olympic/elite athlete tracks remain open.
  • Job Exploration Visa (60-120 days) — non-residents can enter the UAE to interview without an offer letter; renewable once.
  • Probation period: now capped at 6 months (down from unlimited under the old law). Either party can terminate with 14 days' notice.
  • Gratuity is now portable in the savings-scheme framework — no more losing it on contract termination if you opt in.
